What does your typical day look like at Crossover?
I work mostly within the XCODES database adding new products, this means contact with suppliers and customers for new product launches to make sure the product database is up to date. I also try to join the training teams and support teams when they are on customer visits. This allows me to speak to Pros about how they use XCODES/XPOS, learn more about how the system works and to see the Golf products in person to get a better understanding
What can customers come to you for advice / help with?
Customers can contact me when they think a product is missing from XCODES, I can then get the product data and add it into the system. Or, if they feel there is missing/incorrect product information in the system. There is also a useful feature within MyHub (the customer login), which allows them to make XCODES requests which come directly to me.
What's your favourite Crossover product and why?
XPOS. I think it’s a very powerful tool for helping to organise and grow your business. I’m learning new features all the time, and can see the value of the various reports that the system can run. I like that I can see the value in the work I do and how adding the products to the system in turn benefits our customers.
Explain how working with Crossover Technologies benefits its customers
At Crossover Technologies, every employee is committed to delivering “WOW” to customers. This can be through XPOS itself, the new product screen, or their interactions with the support teams. Using the XPOS system allows Pros to effectively manage their stock, as well as run useful reports about Stock Turns, Unpopular Products and Brands. This gives them the tools they need to increase their turnover and their margins. XPOS streamlines the slow tedious jobs, and means that the Pros can spend more time doing what they love; teaching golf.
What developments are you most looking forward to over the next 12 months?
The launch of the new product screen. I have seen lots of the behind the scenes development and have been very impressed. It builds on the existing product screen and has become more user-friendly, making it easier to search for existing products, as well as stock in new products. The size and colour matrix is also very simple and time saving. There are many other useful features that customers will be able to enjoy once it has been launched.
Tell us something about yourself we don't know!
I am a keen amateur football and have been playing for other 15 years, a lack of pace committing me to right back, the position I currently play for Iron Acton FC. This takes up most Saturdays from September-May and beyond, which my girlfriend is thrilled with! When I’m not playing I like to watch as much as possible, supporting my boyhood team Bristol City through the good times and the bad times… I am also beginning to learn to play golf, my handicap at the minute is my swing!
