Product Manager

What does your typical day look like at Crossover?

For me every day is different. Some days I will speak to customers to find out what they want and need our software to do. Some days I might oversee the launch of a new product or update. Some days I might be helping with the marketing or branding of our products. Some days I might be involved in testing unreleased software. Mostly I spend time working on turning ideas into designs – so our developers can turn them into software you can use.

What can customers come to you for advice / help with?

If you have any ideas about what more our products could do for you – I am the person to call. It might be a feature that is missing, or it might just be making an existing one easier to use. All suggestions are gratefully received.

What's your favourite Crossover product and why?

XAPP – because I designed it! Obviously I cannot take all the credit, it was a huge team effort to deliver something innovative like this, especially as it was our first attempt at a smartphone app.

Explain how working with Crossover Technologies benefits its customers

When considering which retail software or EPOS solution to buy, customers have a bewildering range of options to choose from. But in the golf industry, none come close to what we offer.

We have been making software for golf shops for 20 years and that experience shows, not only in what our products can do, but also in the golf specific services we can provide. Services like our XCODES product database set us apart from the rest.

What developments are you most looking forward to over the next 12 months?

Right now we are working on an updated Product Screen for XPOS. The new Product Screen will be more powerful as well as being easier to use and easier on the eye.

Then it’s straight onto some Business Insight reports, which I think customers will find really useful and easy to grasp – there’s a lot to look forward to.

Tell us something about yourself we don't know!

I love to cook, especially technically challenging stuff. I’ll try my hand at pretty much any technique, especially if a new kitchen gadget is required. Recently I’ve been doing a lot of Pan-Asian stuff, my sushi rolls are starting to look pretty professional!
