Business Advice for Busy Freelancers
We had a fantastic visit with PGA Pro Emma Brown this week, at the The Kendleshire Golf Club, near Bristol. Emma is a busy freelance golf coach, working pretty much around the clock. She approached Crossover's Mark Hopkins a couple of weeks ago, to say how much she enjoyed our editorial contribution, each month, in the PGA Professional magazine.
However, as she pointed out, she's a freelancer, and so isn't involved in the retail side of the golf business, which means that not everything we write about is relevant to her. So this week, we did a great swop that worked for both parties. In return for a (much needed) golf lesson for Mark, he'll now be sitting down with Emma to go through business essentials, such as budgeting, time management, marketing and planning.
She's give us a great idea, so watch this space for a new business series, aimed at freelance golf coaches.
